Musical Instruments

We welcome musicians and their instruments aboard our flights.

Given the variety of musical instruments around, there are various different ways to handle the different instruments:

Smaller instruments can be carried aboard the aircraft as hand luggage if they fit into the sizing bins at the check-in counters.

Medium sized instruments, like various guitars, can be carried through to the aircraft and left with our staff just before boarding. Our teams will load these items into the front hold of the aircraft, and then unload them on the other end.

Large and heavy items, like cellos and amplifiers, may need to be transported in the cargo hold - in this case customers are advise to purchase sports equipment tickets to fly these items.

Regardless of where in the aircraft the instrument flies - please ensure that the instrument is well protected in hard casing as the airline can't take responsibility for any damages to items.
