We understand that travelling with photography equipment can be a challenge for those who need to do so. Photographic equipment is both very valuable and fragile, which offers a great challenge when it comes to transporting it in the hold of an aircraft.
Most photographer's insurance also doesn't cover equipment during transit and the airline offers a limited liability too.
This is an issue that we constantly working through with the airports and authorities to improve such that we can collectively offer a neat end-to-end service.
In the meanwhile what we propose to photographers is the following:
Bring your equipment along, in a secure camera bag that fits within the sizing bin for hand luggage at the airport and we will be very happy for you to take your equipment on board as your hand luggage.
Larger items like lights and large tripods may need to be checked as sports equipment for now.
