Syringes are a difficult item to carry aboard an aircraft due to the nature of dangerous goods and airport safety regulations. Here are a few tips to ensure that you travel without any issues at the airport:
Opt for an Epi-Pen
Should you need to travel with Insulin, we request that you carry your insulin with you aboard the aircraft. Syringes can be brought aboard, but sharps (needles) will need to be checked into your hold luggage. Epi-Pens are however permitted aboard, so if you foresee the need for insulin during the flight we do highly recommend bringing an epi-pen with you.
Snacks
Snack are for sale on board should you require something to eat. You can pay for these snacks with credit cards, debit cards, or an R85 Snack Voucher (which can be bought during booking or via the link below). We've gone cashless, so we no longer accept cash. EFTs or cheques are also not accepted. We are unable to serve during take-off or landing, but if you are in need of a snack, please do not hesitate to call upon our crew who will gladly help when you explain your need, even if service is officially closed.
