We are huge fans of our furry friends, but unfortunately we're not equipped to give them the same level of flying service that we do our human passengers. With this in mind we've made it our policy not to fly pets at this stage.
Service dogs
By the prior approval of FlySafair, Service Dogs (seeing eye, medical alert and psychiatric assistance) are carried free of charge, provided the Service Dog is travelling with the owner, and that the passenger is fully dependent on the Service Dog. Arrangements for the carriage of Service Dogs are to be concluded no later than 48 hours prior to flight departure. Passengers will need to provide supporting documentation (training certificates, registration, Service Dog ID, up to date vaccination). Additional requirements include a medical letter from your registered medical health practitioner for psychiatric assistance/medical alert Service Dogs. The Service Dog must be fully trained and harnessed and must be able to be seated on the floor in front of your seat. The aforesaid is further elaborated in our T&C’s at www.flysafair.co.za/about-us/legal-ts-cs/terms-of-booking-carriage
