Before taking off to Mauritius, there are certain things you need to have done, and have ready, in order to be granted access to the country.
Below we provide you with an easy checklist you can reference to make sure you meet all the entry requirements.
Also remember, bring along a form of entertainment such as a good book or digital content downloaded onto a device, to keep you entertained during your flight.
Your Mauritius Checklist:
- All passengers flying to Mauritius need to complete the Mauritius All-in-One Travel Digital Form
- You will also require Health Insurance that has to cover Covid-19 treatment.
- A passport that is valid for at least 6 months and has 2 blank pages. Non-South African citizens will also require a visa.

Infants and children under 18 years of age require both a Passport and an Unabridged birth certificate for travel, additionally, a letter of consent (Affidavit) is required when an infant or child under 18 years of age is travelling with one (1) single parent.

Valid return flight tickets.

Confirmed accommodation booking.
- As of 12 March 2022, a negative PCR test is no longer necessary for entry into Mauritius.
- Proof of vaccination certificate or card.

- Covaxin
- Johnson & Johnson (no less than 28 days prior to travel)
- Moderna
- Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine (no less than 14 days prior to travel)
- Sinopharm
- Sputnik V
- Sinovac-CoronaVac
- Print out the SA Exit Screening Questionnaire
For Unvaccinated Travellers:
- As of 12 March 2022, a negative PCR test is no longer necessary for entry into Mauritius.
- It is mandatory to arrange a COVID-19 insurance health cover (Mauritian citizens, resident permit holders and occupational permit holders are exempted).
- You must book a quarantine stay.
- You will be required to stay in your hotel room for 14 nights.
- You will have a PCR test on arrival, day 7 and day 14.
- After a negative PCR test on day 14, you can freely explore the island and move to new accommodation or go home.
- All travellers must fill out the mandatory screening forms before their flight to Mauritius.
