Credit Cards at the Airport

FlySafair does not require the presentation of the credit card used for booking at the airport. 

Passengers are only required to have a valid form of identification like:

  • A South African green barcoded ID book or certified copies thereof (certified copies not older than 3 months)
  • A SA ID card or certified copies thereof (certified copies not older than 3 months)
  • A SA driver’s Licence or certified copies thereof (certified copies not older than 3 months)
  • A valid passport (also emergency / temporary travel documents – eg. asylum, red cross papers – IOM papers {international organization for migration})
  • Birth certificates or certified copies thereof (certified copies not older than 3 months)
  • Medical Aid Cards – children up to the age of 16
  • Birth certificates for passengers over the age of 16 years unless they have their ID
  • Clinic Cards – for infants up to three (3) months
  • Student cards permitted with accompanying photo and affidavit  (affidavit no older than 3 months)
  • Temporary identification document accompanied by an affidavit (affidavit no older than 3 months)
